Health apps fail on adherence, not on features. The tracking is fiddly, the coaching is generic, and the app is the first thing to get ignored.
Aethon is the same thesis as the client work, pointed at a consumer problem: put the coach where the person already is, and take the manual work out of logging.
What we built
The work
A text-first coach — the whole product works over SMS, with a web app for anyone who wants a dashboard.
Photo food logging: a photo of a meal is read by a vision model and turned into calories and macros, with a local model kept as a fallback so logging still works if the primary is unavailable.
Real training programmes from a deterministic engine — four-week periodisation against percentages of a training max, with a built-in deload week, rather than a language model improvising sets and reps.
Persistent memory: one running record per person that the coach reads at the start of every exchange, so it remembers goals, injuries, schedule constraints and food preferences instead of starting fresh.
An adaptive onboarding interview that asks one or two questions at a time and branches on the answers.
Optional voice notes, so the coach can reply in a real voice rather than only in text.
How you can check this yourself
Aethon is live: text aethon to (845) 798-0974, or open the web app. It runs on one all-access plan after a free trial. A native iOS and Android build is packaged and ready, but has not been submitted to either store yet — so if you are looking for it in the App Store, it is not there.
